Interesting vintage pictorial folding map of the Suez Canal published in around 1933 in Port Said by August Rusenberg. The map is peppered with vignettes, illustrations of buildings along the route, elevations of the canal and inset maps of both Port Said and its location in on an index map. The piece comes with an accompanying booklet promoting the canal for both commercial and for tourist use. • #pictorialmaps #vintage #africa #suezcanal #history #maps #mapping #map #vintagemaps #egypt #tourist #travel #giftideas
